Babylon 6

Description

I really debated about posting this, since I wholeheartedly believe that there's no way a sixth station could ever be built.  Why? Stop and look at the facts. Babylons 1-3 were all sabotaged and/or destroyed and only the 4th was ever completed.  Then it disappeared.  But this thing was huge, even described as the "largest of the Babylon Stations".  Think how much that would've cost to build.  Think of how much it would've cost to build the first three.  In fact, there was cost cutting taking place with Babylon 4 using parts from the 3rd station.  And all that money and those resources were coming exclusively from the Earth Alliance.
Now look at Babylon 5.  Originally, the EA wasn't going to bother with another station.  It was only when alien races signed on to the idea that they could even build a minimal station.  After all, Babylon 5 is a lot smaller than 4.  Now where do you think the money (and resources) would come from if the fifth station was destroyed, or lost?  They barely had enough to try a fifth time.
Still, it is nice to fantasize.
This design is actually based off my original idea for Babylon 2.  However, the appearance seemed to work better as a post-B5 station.  After all, it is, for the most part, Babylon 5 with a large middle section.
Of particular note is the arm that holds the solar panels.  Originally, that was supposed to come out of the center section (like the forward arm).  But, as great as that looked, it didn't make sense.  After all, shouldn't the panels be tied into the reactor?  Who would build one, or even a power converter, in the middle of the habiltable section(s)?  However, not wanting to look too much like Babylon 5, I went ahead and connected them from back to center.
There's also a distant possibility of my doing other designs (I stopped at 9), but don't hold your breath.  After all, I do still think that post B5 stations are pretty much impossible...

Yeah, it's stated specifically that Babylon 5 is the last of the Babylon stations.
